About Us PDF Print E-mail

The name Ombujomaere means “place of the curdled milk” in the Herero language. The farm is situated in the heart of Namibia about 150km northwest of Windhoek.

HUNTING

Leave behind the daily routine and stress and enjoy an unforgetful hunting and farm experience on Ombujomaere. The diverse and typical Namibian thornbush savannah with granite hills and open waterholes invites you to hunt Kudu, Oryx, Blue Wildebeest, Springbok, Steenbok, Warthog, Duiker, Leopard, Baboon and  Jackal. The hunting season  in Namibia is open annually from the 1st of February to the 30th of November. During your stay on Ombujomaere you will be guided by a government approved hunting guide or professional hunter. Hunting takes place either from an open vehicle, hides or on foot. The hunting grounds cover an area of  8 730 hectares.

LEISURE

While visiting the farmstead and by driving around on the farm you will be given the opportunity to get to know typical Namibian farmlife.  There are many open waterholes after good rainfalls and a number of hides offer perfect photographic opportunities of the abundant game and avifauna.

Hikes onto the mountain or one of the numerous granite hills offer fantastic views over the savannah. Sundowners can be enjoyed in the bush on one of the granite hills or the farm veranda or by the pool.

Walks to the farm dam and the natural aloe garden close to the farmstead are very enjoyable. Guests can relax at the swimming pool surrounded by a Southern African indigenous garden. The guesthouse consists of 3 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. We have 220V electricity.
